Abstract
Echinococcosis (hydatid cyst), a parasitic infection, and tuberculosis (TB), a bacterial infection, areprevalent in Bangladesh, though their simultaneouspresentation is exceedingly rare. This case reportdescribes a unique instance of concurrent hydatidcyst and cyst wall tuberculosis. Specifically,we detail the clinical presentation, diagnosticfindings, and management of a patient exhibitingboth pathologies. This report underscores theimportance of considering atypical presentationsand coinfections, particularly in regions withhigh hydatid disease and TB endemicity. The co-occurrence of these two infectious diseases posesdiagnostic and therapeutic challenges, necessitatinga comprehensive approach to patient care.
