Seemingly minor differences in their molecular structure make the two EFA families all very differently in Inc body. While the metabolic products of omega-6 acids promote inflammation, blood clotting, and urmour growth. the omcgm3 acids act entirely opposite'. Omega-3 fatty acids have been shown to significantly reduce the flak for sudden death caused by cardid antArnias and all-cause moodily in patients with known coronary heart disease'. Although we do need both omegar3s and omega-6s. it is booming increasingly clear that an excess of omega-6 fatly acids can have dire consequences. Many scientists believe ihat a major reason for the high incidence of heart didase, hypenension, diabetes, obesity. premature aging, and some forma of uncer is the profound imbalance between our intake of omega.6 .1 omega-3 fatty acids..
